I'm keeping Martha Stewart happy. I bought one of her lovely laundry baskets yesterday at K-Mart.

I also bought two of Martha's small area rugs.
I bought a nifty Iris clear file box at Staples. The image is from the "Stacks and Stacks" website but I didn't pay the ridiculous price. Actually, I just noticed that the price of $29.99 is for a set of 2. The shipping charges are outrageous though and if you buy them in the store, that's where you save money but you can't always find the selection you want.
At "Stacks and Stacks", the price for a set of three 58-quart storage boxes is $39.99 + $17.99 for shipping = $57.98. If I order two sets of three boxes, the total is $79.98 + $35.98 for shipping = $115.96. The shipping charges are almost half the cost of the merchandise. I guess it's because it's a bulky item even though they're lightweight.
I found two other websites where the cost of the items were less and the shipping charges were much more reasonable for the same Iris storage boxes.

I also bought an Iris clear plastic shoe box at "Bed Bath and Beyond" for $1.99. I thought it would be useful for loose, small items. I think things looked neater stored in boxes and it makes it easier to clean when you don't have a lot of clutter around. I also think that anything stored in paper bags looks tacky. I've been going crazy throwing out everything but the kitchen sink and re-organizing so I'm becoming an expert on storage containers for everything imaginable. Martha would be proud of me.
I've also been looking at the "Homz" line of storage boxes at K-Mart. I seem to find more of what I like at K-Mart. I hate Wal-Mart.

I just bought two of the Homz storage containers (a 10-gallon and an 18-gallon). I bought the 10-gallon to store shirts and the 18-gallon to store pants. I double-folded about 10 pairs just to see how many it would hold and I still had room to spare.

I've also bought a lot of Fellowes Bankers Boxes in the past. They're made of cardboard and they're very rugged and I store of lot of mail, catalogs, things I've printed off the Internet, (as well as file folders). I like them because they have lift-off lids and you can stack them. They have handles on the sides of the box and I've found them to be very useful. I've accumulated an awful lot of paper stuff since I started using the Internet. That's one reason why I decided to start going through everything although it wasn't the paper that I threw out. I still have boxes full of hundreds of thousands of threads that you've posted in the various discussion forums. I'll have to rent a storage facility to store them all.
This is what the Bankers Box looks like. Fellowes #775 is their strongest box.

I've also been thinking about buying a Safco hand truck to transport boxes to my storage space so that I won't have to throw out all the hundreds of thousands of discussion forum threads that I've printed off the computer.
