More thoughts from Roy about sin. I stayed up until midnight last night transcribing it from an audio tape.

Now, when you're saved--here's the point, you can't sin anymore. You cannot sin. You can have a bad thought but that doesn't mean to say you've sinned because when I see pornography walking down the street-I see pornography-well, I see it's in my head. Am I sinning? No! I see pornography--I'm not identified with the thought. So, this is just a movie in my head. But I'm not agreeing with it. If I'm lost in my head, I'm giving agreement to it. If I'm separate from it, I'm just seeing something through my senses.

I'm seeing evil. I'm seeing someone's head cut off. Does that mean to say I'm guilty of cutting somebody's head off? See, if you have a thought enter your mind that's bad, does that mean to say you're bad? No! It means that's how evil communicates with you. But as long as you stand back from it, you're not giving it permission. It's only when you are lost in your head you're giving it permission.

That's why I tell you that if you are saved, if you believe, and how you get to believe is meditate--separate the person who wants to eventually believe will separate from his hiding place in his thoughts, identifying with the dark side, standing in that middle ground between heaven and hell where God can put His Son in you. Then you have strength to resist--anything--beginning with little things.

Does anybody understand that now? The understanding's the secret. You understand that, don't you? We're talking about believability, how you believe and why you belive a Jesus, rather than a Pharisee, a preacher. Preachers have knowledge, just pure knowledge, but not authority behind that knowledge because you learned it from a book. None of the apostles Jesus taught had much education and the one that did betrayed Him. No. He is exactly--he is a person born differently from all other men. All other men carry the spore of misery--of sin.

In other words, we reproduce egos, the unloved woman--the unloved woman who nurtured, who helped Adam to rebell against God to play God. That's called ego. So that day forward, every man born was born in sin, meaning the extension of that process of original sin. No man comes into the world perfect, as Adam might have been perfect had he believed into God and God believed into him, and he would have been whole and resistant to all evil.

It wasn't to happen that way because God knew in His heart, I know that, that if He created an Adam and Eve all over again, that they'd all make the mistake--same mistake with--they'd be faced with the choice of loving God and playing God (ego), naturally. Every person, every human being is different from all other creatures because we have a little bit of God in us, a little, tiny bit of a spark that can relate to the Creator of the Universe unlike any other creature. The ant can't do it, he's a machine. There's no moral choice.

Now, when a person's saved, he comes into the world, and he's assailed by all these forces called culture and culture shapes him. That's why we have different shapes of culture--cannibals, Nazis, Christians, Jews, and once that culture takes hold, some cultures are better than others. It's better to be a Christian, even a cultural one than a cannibal, wouldn't you not agree? or an al-Qaeda. So, therefore, some cultures are conducive to bringing you to salvation. Judeo-Christianity is the most noble one of all, but it is also abused. That's why we have the left because people absorb the religion culturally.

Judeo-Christianity is a spiritual religion. You can goose step to anything, you can pretend to be honest. You can pretend to be a Christian and you can actually think you're a Christian. You can actually think yourself Jewish because you do all the rituals and you're kind and you give money. That's not good enough.

You have to move and have your being from the impulse to know right from wrong, that the impulse is so strong to do right and you're so one with the Creator, having learned your lesson and having been like the prodigal son come in from the cold. You know what it's like to be living in Hell.

We have to learn that. Life is hell. If life is heaven, from the day you were born, you'd be an Eloi, like in the Time Machine, mindless and stupid, and the doors of the dark caves would open and then warlocks would come and eat them every now and then which is what happens--which what happens, why we have wars, because we are lulled into passivity by luxury and we forget God, right? And the enemies await, and they advance--like parasites. They have nothing except they eat something. They eat our something--they eat out our souls, the unwary--and bullies do that to you. They eat out your substance.

If you don't have--well, naturally, you don't have it to begin with. You'll be bullied. But the minute you start to respond to that temptation, respond to that intimidation, if you don't have the full strength, the full armor, they will have you. You will respond to them and not respond to God anymore because you'll start to resent them, and the minute you resent them, you will be joined to them in a strange, hate-love relationship. A little piece of them will get inside and cry out for the completion to them and you'll think of that as love. It's called the love-hate relationship. There's no love, of course. It's servitude but ego will never admit it's wrong. Ego will think of that love as love.

That's why marriages don't work. It always works the same way. You seduce someone to love you. You find a person that's hungry for love, devoid of God...empty, lonely...not knowing who they are and wanting to be more of who that is that Adam wanted to be. He wanted to play God. He had a choice between loving God and playing God. That wasn't put that way but the fruit was the temptation. Men have a moral choice but the moral choice is not given to you. You were born in sin which means you're subject to your environment.

Lucky if you're coming to America and you have an environment where you're at least taught Christianity, you're taught Western values. There are always forces doing otherwise, naturally, but you have the knowledge put in front of you to recognize, but not to learn.

Remember, learning is the evil part of it. Of all the trees you may freely eat--and I want to make this clear as I've made it already once before, but it doesn't hurt to reiterate. Of all the trees you may freely eat but the knowledge of the fruit of good and evil, you shall not eat of that, for in the day you shall eat of it, you shall surely die.

Did Adam die? No. He did die spiritually. He got separated from God. He separated from the life of God. He could have lived forever. He had the Tree of Eternal Life. Why didn't he do that? Because the whole idea is--well, the devil would say, if I was the devil, "Well, you can have your cake and eat it. Why don't you be your own man?" You know--how people say, you know, be your own person. You can do what you want to do and you can have what you want to have, but you can't. Because everything you reach for from the day you were born, whether you realize it or not, whether you want to or not, is under a compulsion to feed ego. Your thoughts of judgment, the food you eat, without realizing it instead of nurturing it to the purpose of your Creator, feeds your own ambitions.
